Ocampos Implements More Road Projects
As one of the priority projects of our Governor Loreto
Leo Ocampos, Provincial Roads Rehabilitation has been implemented in
the municipalities of Tudela, Lopez Jaena, Aloran, Calamba, and Plaridel.
The rehabilitation of roads in the said municipalities is being implemented
through the Provincial Road Rehabilitation Team in a fast-tracked pace.
“The fast-track rehabilitation of our Provincial Roads this year
will complement the massive Farm-to-Market Roads and Rehabilitation
projects that we have started,” Governor Ocampos said.
Each of these municipalities has already benefited from the project
with a rehabilitated 3-kilometer Provincial Road. The project was started
in January 2003, has already more or less completed road rehabilitations
in the remaining nine (9) municipalities of the province.
These
are the municipalities of Clarin, Jimenez, Bonifacio, Baliangao, Don
Victoriano, Concepcion, Pana-on, Sapang Dalaga, and Sinacaban.
These road repairs are geared towards the improvement and complement
to farm-to-market roads. This in turn will help greatly the Province’s
agricultural development programs.
The project tapped the resources and equipment of the Provincial Engineer’s
Office, thereby the Provincial Government has saved from a lot of expenses
in the project, as compared to the traditional tapping of the private
contractors for these kind of projects.
