Gov’t provides houses for those who do not have
For a very low-cost, and for easy processing you can
now avail of the affordable and decent housing provided for by the Misamis
Occidental Provincial Government through the able leadership of Governor
Loreto Leo Ocampos.
The Misamis Occidental Provincial Housing Project is on its way in fulfilling
its promise of providing more opportunities for Misamisnons to avail
of low-cost but quality housing units. This project is located at the
heart of Barangay Villaflor, Oroquieta City, with land area of almost
5 hectares.
Starting last February 2004, the processing of vital papers has been
fast-tracked, as a result of the cooperation and coordination of the
different national agencies such as the Department of Agrarian Reform
– Region X, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources
– Region X, and the DENR – Land Management Section. This
has resulted to the continuous and uninterrupted construction of the
road leading to the housing project, the model houses for each type
1C, 2C, 3C, and 4C. There are already two (2) model Socialized Housing
duplexes with four (4) units available for viewing and inspection.
The project also has provided local residents with employment as construction
workers. At present, the Provincial Housing Project Committee is in
the process of coordinating with the office of the City Register of
Deeds for the acquisition of Individual Titling.
There
are 259 housing lots available with the breakdown as follows: Socialized
Housing Lots – 112; Type 1C – 32; Type 2C – 47; Type
3C – 28; Type 4C – 40 lots.
The Provincial Housing Project invites every Misamisnon who are interested
to visit the Provincial Governor’s Office (PGO), Capitol, Oroquieta
City for inquiries and further questions. The PGO staff likewise are
always on Stand-by for callers, at 531-1333 and 531-1632.
