Ocampos blesses LGUs with Projects
One city and thirteen municipalities were given projects
directly from the Office of Provincial Governor Loreto Leo Ocampos.
These are the Municipalities of Aloran, Don Victoriano, Bonifacio, Calamba,
Clarin, Jimenez, Lopez Jaena, Pana-on, Plaridel, Sapang Dalaga, Sinacaban,
Tudela, and the City of Ozamiz.
The Municipality of Tudela received most the fundings and projects from
the Provincial Government with close to P4.5M worth of projects that
include road concreting, construction of Retaining Wall, Level-II Water
System, irrigation rehabilitation, and the concreting of sub-bridges.
The multi-million worth of Water System project at Barangay Tonggo is
being supported by several stakeholders such as the Agrarian Reform
Community Development Program (ARCDP) – World Bank, the Local
Governments of Tudela and Sinacaban, and the Provincial Government.
This project will be supplying water to two municipalities of Tudela
and Sinacaban.
With close to P3M worth of projects, the Municipality of Sapang Dalaga
benefited from the Provincial Government’s allocations. These
projects included the concreting of provincial roads, and the rehabilitation
of farm-to-market roads.
Pana-on town is next in line with allocations of about P2.6M worth of
projects like concreting, and regravelling of roads, construction of
Shoreline Protection, and the construction of Tennis Court bleachers.
The town of Jimenez received about P2.3M for concreting and regravelling
of roads, and for the improvement of their Irrigation System.
The municipalities of Aloran, Don Victoriano, Baliangao, Bonifacio,
Calamba, Lopez Jaena, Plaridel, Sinacaban, and the City of Ozamiz received
budget allocations ranging from P1M to P2M worth of concreting, improvement,
and regravelling of roads, construction of causeways, Day Care Centers,
and Water System Projects, and the rehabilitation of the Tiaman River
Protection Dike in Bonifacio town.
These fundings to the different Local Government Units of the province
were realized through the allocations of the Provincial Government structured
after Governor Ocampos’ program of the new Barangay IRA Counterparting
Scheme.
