Province
holds Awards and Recognition Rites

On
Monday, 28 June 2004 8:30 am, the Provincial Government of Misamis Occidental
will celebrate its Awards and Recognition Rites at the Provincial Cultural
Farmers Training Center at the Capitol Area, Oroquieta City.
The celebration will have a four-part program starting from a Prayer
Service, which will be attended by various religious leaders from the
province. These religious leaders will include ministers, pastors, bishops,
and lay leaders of the different churches in the province.
The
second part of the program will be the Presentation of Awards and Recognition
from the Office Provincial Secretary and from the Office of the Provincial
Governor’s Office. The Provincial Secretary will give awards to
the Provincial Board Members, and will be highlighted by a Post-humous
Award for the late Hon. Agustin Galindo, Jr. as the Most Outstanding
Board Member.
On
the other hand, the Provincial Governor’s Office will give out
the Governor’s Award to various Non-Governmental Organizations,
Government Officials, and other institutions that have been instrumental
in contributing to improvements and developments in the province. Also,
the Gawad Pangulo sa Kapaligiran will be given out to municipalities
that have consistently maintained the cleanliness of their respective
towns.
The
third part would be the Oath-taking of Ceremony of the winners of the
last May 10 elections. The Governor, Vice Governor, Provincial Board
Members, Municipal Mayors, Vice Mayors, and Councilors will take their
oaths of office with Judge Nympha Sitaca administering their oaths.
The celebration will culminate with a Luncheon at the MOEDRC Grounds,
at Pines, Oroquieta City.
