Provincial
Government Guides
our way…
The Reflectorized Safety Post Project
During daytime,
they might not appeal to you so much, and they just look like tiny
posts planted by the main highway. But come night time, these tiny
posts become the highway’s main attraction. When you turn your
headlights on, sequenced lights appear to guide your way.
The Reflectorized
Safety Posts planted at the main thoroughfares of the province is
a joint project between the Provincial Government and the Local Government
Units. These posts were designed to guide travelers and vehicles during
night time.
The initiative
was from the Municipality of Pana-on. Many commended this LGU of its
reflectorized posts which were a big help to those who frequently
traveled at night. During heavy rains when the roads are hardly seen,
the posts just glare out of the dark guiding the pathways. A lot of
testimonies have been shared about the efficiently of these posts,
thus, the Provincial Government initiated the installation of these
throughout the province.
With the Governor’s blessings, the fund for the posts was taken
from the Provincial Tourism Council’s fund. The LGUs of where
the posts would be planted has also given their share. From now on,
travelers taking the Misamis Occidental roads would be driving with
ease with the posts guiding their way.
