Misamis Occidental Drug Rehabilitation Center
Giving them ‘A Second Chance’

In response to the escalating threat of drug abuse in the province, the Misamis Occidental Provincial Government, at the will and determination of Governor Loreto Leo Ocampos, constructed the Misamis Occidental Drug Treatment and Rehabilitation Center (MODTRC), located in Barangay Buenavista, Oroquieta City. The project has been ongoing since April 2003 and became operational November last year.
 
The Drug Rehab Center is enclosed in an area of 1.1179 hectares. It aims to provide a recovery mechanism for drug dependents and help them learn to live a productive, secure and peaceful life; a relief to families with drug addiction problems.
 
Drug dependents coming from Misamis Occidental and probably those coming from nearby provinces will be given this second chance to recover and be renewed. The Center is open to those who, volunteer to undergo rehabilitation; thou who are referred by parents and other authorized persons; and those on suspended trial.
 
The drug dependent or, the parent or their guardian may file a petition with the court for a commitment of at least six (6) months of in-house rehab.
