Provincial Road Projects

Despite of the various on-going construction projects undertaken by the Provincial Government like the Drug Rehab Center, the Aquamarine Park in Sinacaban, the Provincial Housing Project, and others, Governor Loreto Leo Ocampos has included Provincial Roads Rehabilitation as one of the many important concerns that must be prioritized.

“The fast-tracked rehabilitation of our provincial roads this year will complement the massive Farm-to-Market Roads and Rehabilitation Project that we have started last year,” Governor Ocampos said.

Often tagged as a result-oriented governor who always requires everyone to have every task done ahead of the scheduled time, Governor Ocampos ordered the Provincial Road Rehabilitation Team to fast-track the undertaking.

Having started its operation January of last year, the team has already rehabilitated a three-kilometer Provincial Road of each of the following municipalities namely: Tudela, Lopez Jaena, Aloran, Calamba, and Plaridel incurring less construction expenses compared to one which is undertaken by a private contractor. Road construction is now being continued under an order of preference base on a draw by lot scheme, which are as follows:

1 . Clarin
2. Jimenez
3. Bonifacio
4. Baliangao
5. Don Victoriano
6. Concepcion
7. Pana-on
8. Sapang Dalaga
9. Sinacaban

It is targeted that the three-kilometer Provincial Road Project of these nine remaining municipalities will be rehabilitated before this year ends.

Massive Construction of farm-to-Market roads and the rehabilitation of provincial roads are complementing projects that are geared towards agricultural development.
