Calamba
District Hospital
Health
is indispensable to everybody. It is one of the vital components to
attain peace and development. This truism has pushed our beloved Governor
Loreto Leo Ocampos to take a concrete step in the implementation of
a system that will insure the delivery of quality health services to
his constituents.
The tie-up between our Provincial Government leaders and the personnel
of the different public hospital units in the province has been instrumental
in achieving a more effective approach in solving health problems in
the province. One of our government hospitals that have satisfactorily
done its part to cater the health needs of our people is the Calamba
District Hospital (CDH).
Right now, CDH has a functional and workable integrated and comprehensive
health delivery system and management process. The hospital is equipped
with competent doctors and has adopted technological facilities in diagnosing
and treating diseases. This new facilities includes an anesthesia machine,
a portable x-ray machine, an ECG Machine, laboratory equipment like
a nebulizer and centrifuge machines and an additional 30 beds, which
were all donated by the medical team from West Virginia who conducted
a Medical Mission last July 2003.
To give better and more convenient service to its patients, the CDH
has renovated its main building and as has built two new buildings.
The new buildings became operational last May 2003. These new buildings
are equipped with a conference room, a stock room, and an isolation
room. Furthermore, a new medical-pediatric ward and male doctors’
quarters are now fully functional.
With the unified effort of the Provincial Government officials and the
local doctors of CDH together with the support of the people, CDH will
surely sustain its efficient services, thereby, attaining the quest
of providing quality basic health services to Misamisnons.
